Program Overview
Our school combines the best of home based learning with the flexibility and support of staff in three centers within Rocky View: Airdrie, Chestermere and Cochrane. We utilize a variety of technologies to provide students and parents with the educational tools they need to access their courses.
Online Courses
In certain circumstances, students may register in online courses once the semester has started. Please feel free to discuss this option with one of our counsellors. Almost all of our complementary online courses can be started at any time.
Print Based Courses
Students enrolled in the print courses are provided all course work in paper modules. Students can either write in the assignment booklets or use a word processor. All students are provided with email in order to contact their teachers. Students in this program can begin courses at any time during the school year.
Basic Home Schooling and Blended Programs
Parents wishing to provided their own curriculum can be registered with our program as a home schooling student. We also accept students wishing to take a blended program. Please contact our Home Schooling Supervisor-Mr. Randy Hillier at 948-4360.
Which choice is right for you?
While all of our programs are designed to offer flexibility, there are some factors you should consider when choosing your program.
If you...
- like the feeling of belonging to a class and need the structure of teacher-set deadlines, you may want to take an online, teacher-directed course.
- like the idea of learning online, but need a more flexible timeline, you might consider taking a self-paced online course.
- don’t have regular access to a computer and internet connection, you should consider the paper-based alternatives.
